It was a secret dubbed “Operation Gasface’, and it was a long time coming. Hip Hop duo 3rd Bass would be reuniting and performing! As a surprise guest for WBLS 50th Anniversary show, MC Serch of 3rd Bass contacted Hip Hop Closet to commission to recreation of the iconic sheepskin coat he wore in the “Brooklyn Queens” video. I tagged along with Kyiesha Kelly, founder of hiphopcloset.com who created the sheepskin coat. I got to capture MC Serch’s reaction as he saw the sheepskin coat for the first time. We then went to the Prudential Center in Newark to catch the show and see MC Serch perform in the coat. Check out the video to see how it all went down.
